Hi. I’m Ian.
You’ve found my corner of the internet. This is a place for me to share projects I’m working on, adventures I’m taking, random thoughts, and things I’m learning.
Who am I?
Architect. Photographer. Beer enthusiast. World traveler. Fitness fan. Bike commuter. Committed christian.
I grew up in Los Angeles, and decided to go to college at New York University, partly because I had never seen it snow but mostly because it’s in New York City. After graduating, I worked as the Marketing Coordinator for a mid-sized architecture firm in Manhattan. When the economy crashed in 2008, a few friends and I took the opportunity to teach English in Spain for a year, living together in small-town Andalucía. Following the love of architecture I learned from LEGOs, I moved to Eugene, Oregon for graduate school, and then spent a year building airplanes. Right now I work at Gensler’s New York City office in the Arts & Culture practice area.
What the next step will be, I don’t know. But it’s going to be good. Thanks for following along.
